Using the table

What the Table Can and Cannot Decide

The whole catalog spans 0.93 percentage points. Wager $100 on the first row and the theoretical cost is $3.00; on the last row it is $3.93. After rakeback those become $1.50 and $1.97. That is the entire range this table covers — enough to settle a choice between games you already like, not enough to justify playing a game you don't.

Everything that shapes a session more than that is outside the table: how volatile the game is, how often the bonus lands, whether you intend to buy the feature. Two games on the same row can behave nothing alike. Read the volatility and hit-rate figures on the game's information screen before weighing a 0.05-point badge difference.

If you want one numberUse the net edge column. It is the cost you carry per dollar wagered after Duel's rebate, and it is the only figure in the table that reflects what you actually pay.

The columns

Three Numbers, One Line Each

Implied RTP = 100% − badge  ·  Net edge = badge × 50%

The percentage on the Duel game page is the house margin, not the return. Subtract it from 100% for the theoretical return; halve it for the cost that remains after rakeback. A game showing 3.50% returns 96.50% in theory, and 98.25% once the rebate is counted — a net cost of 1.75%. The arithmetic and the eleven tests behind it are on the rakeback guide.

One caveat

The Badge Is the Game's Best Mode

Most of these slots publish more than one RTP — base play, an ante bet, one or more feature buys. Our wager tests showed which of them Duel puts on the badge: the highest, in every one of the nine games where the full mode list was read. Sweet Bonanza 1000 shows 96.55% and runs 96.53% in base play; Gates of Olympus Super Scatter quotes its ante mode; Duck Hunters has nine modes and the badge is the top one. The Dog House Megaways 1000 is the case where it makes no difference, because all seven of its modes sit at 96.50%.

So if you play base spins without the ante, your real RTP can sit a few hundredths under the badge. The rakeback, however, is computed from the badge whichever mode you play. Both effects are measured in hundredths of a point on the games here.

Versions

Why a Game You Know May Show a Different Number Here

Studios release the same slot in several RTP configurations and casinos pick one. A review written from the studio's default, or from another casino's version, can quote a figure that is not the one on Duel. That is why the table uses Duel's own badge rather than a generic RTP, and why every row carries the date it was read.

When the badge on the live page differs from a row here, the live page is right and this row is out of date. The same holds in reverse: a number for the same game elsewhere says nothing about Duel's version.

Feature buys

Bonus Buys in the Catalog

Thirty-one games offer one; Rich Wilde and the Tome of Madness does not. The column records what the game showed on Duel on the check date, not what the studio offers elsewhere — feature buys can be switched off by market or version, so a "yes" from another casino was never enough to fill the cell.

The bought feature has its own RTP, listed inside the game, and on several titles it is the mode the badge quotes. What changes more is the shape of the risk: one purchase carries the swings of dozens of spins. Rakeback accrues on the purchase at the usual half of the badge edge. The feature-buy page lists the buy cost where the game shows it.

Method

How the Catalog Was Built

We opened each game on Duel and recorded the studio, category, badge and feature-buy option with the date. Eleven games were then played with real money under the rules on the methodology page: every spin logged, the balance ledger reconciled to the cent, the credited rakeback compared with the badge prediction. Nothing was filled in from review sites; a game whose page did not show a badge was left out rather than estimated.

The catalog is deliberately smaller than the lobby. Thirty-two dated rows we can vouch for are more useful than two hundred we could not keep current; it grows as new games are checked the same way.
