What this page proves — and what it doesn't

It proves nothing about the RTP: a hundred spins of a high-volatility slot never do. It tests one deterministic claim — that Duel credits 50% of the house edge on every settled wager — by comparing the rakeback counter with the starting balance, ending balance and turnover. A real gap — and a testable prediction

Duel's rakeback tooltip for Wanted Dead or a Wild reads:

96.43% on the badge, 96.38% on the rules page — and unlike on Fist of Destruction, where an apparent gap dissolved into rounding, this one cannot: both figures are printed at two decimals, 0.05 points apart. It is the third real badge-versus-rules disagreement of the series, after Sweet Bonanza 1000 and Le Bandit, and as in both of those the accrual follows the badge — the results table below shows the cents separating the two figures cleanly. The reading rule from Duck Hunters — the badge quotes the game's highest published mode — makes a testable prediction here: somewhere in this game's buy-mode list there should be a configuration reading 96.43%. We read the base line only, so that stays a prediction rather than a confirmation, and this is one of two tests in the series that are consistent with the pattern without verifying it. "Duel RTP" is the interface's own aggregate of RTP plus rebate; we call that figure a conditional effective return, because the rebate accrues outside the game and has to be claimed.

How we tested

Ending balance $1,080.48, total winnings $64.32; the ledger reconciles exactly: 1,076.16 − 60.00 + 64.32 = 1,080.48.

Results: matched to the cent — and the cents pick a side

The accrual lands exactly on the badge's prediction and two cents short of the rules-page figure — a gap wide enough for cent-level data to resolve, exactly as on Le Bandit. Eighth game, eighth cent-level match, and the third time the money has followed the badge where the two sources part ways.

What it costs across the modes

The rebate is half the badge edge on every dollar wagered, whichever mode you play, so base play carries 0.05 points more cost than the badge implies — five cents per $100, the same mechanism as on every multi-mode game in the series. The buy modes' own RTPs were not on our screenshots; until they are read, assume figures within a few hundredths of base. Halved is still not cheap: a low-edge table game costs less. Whatever the mode, the cost is (edge − rebate) × turnover; the rakeback guide has the arithmetic for any game. Net edge is rounded to two decimals.

Session outcome: 107.2% — equally meaningless

The block paid back $64.32 on $60.00 wagered — one of the series' two finishes in the black. Eleven sessions span 26.5% to 593.2%, and none of those figures estimates the long-run RTP of any game. The constant across all of them is the rakeback, which has landed on its predicted value every time. Accrual tracks turnover, not outcomes.

What this doesn't establish

One account, one date, USDT, with the 50% badge active — rates could differ by account, region or time, and Duel's terms can change after publication. The conclusions cover the accrual formula only, not session outcomes. We read the base RTP line only; the buy-mode figures went unrecorded, which is precisely why the best-mode reading of this badge stands as a prediction, not a finding. Verdict

On this account, on this date, Wanted Dead or a Wild accrued instant rakeback at exactly the badge's flat rate across the tested block — matched to the cent, with the cents once again siding with the badge over the rules page. The advertised number checks out. Three Hacksaw titles told three different stories — a real gap, a rounding artefact, and a real gap with a prediction attached — and the accrual engine was consistent through all of them.
