How Much the Edge Really Decides
Wager $100 on Iron Bank and the theoretical cost is $3.00; on Le Bandit it is $3.60. After rakeback the two are $1.50 and $1.80 apart by 30 cents. That is the entire difference this table can make to your average cost — small enough that it should settle a choice between games you already like, not send you to a game you don't.
What the table cannot show decides more. A low-volatility game pays small and often; a high-volatility one pays rarely and large, and can run far below its RTP for hundreds of spins. Two games on the same row of this table can feel nothing alike. Read the volatility and hit-rate figures on the game's information screen before you weigh a 0.05-point badge difference.
If you want one numberUse the net edge column. It is the cost you carry per dollar wagered after Duel's rebate, and it is the only figure here that reflects what you actually pay.
One caveat
The Badge Is the Best Mode, Not Always the Base Game
Most of these slots publish more than one RTP — base play, an ante bet, a feature buy. Our wager tests showed which one Duel puts on the badge: the highest. Sweet Bonanza 1000 is the clearest example on this list, 96.55% on the badge and 96.53% in base play; Gates of Olympus Super Scatter quotes its ante mode. The Dog House Megaways 1000 is the exception where it makes no difference, because all seven of its modes sit at 96.50%.
For the list this means the badge order is the order of each game's best mode. If you play base spins without the ante, your real RTP can sit a few hundredths under the figure shown, and the ranking between neighbours may flip. What "High RTP" Means Here — and What It Doesn't
RTP is the share of turnover a game returns to players over a very large number of spins. Duel shows the mirror figure — the house edge — on each game page, so this list starts from that badge and subtracts it from 100%. A 3.00% badge is a 97.00% game.
Across the whole industry, slots run from roughly 92% to 99%; on Duel, every game we have checked sits between 96.07% and 97.00%. "High" on this page is relative to that narrow band. None of these games returns 97% of a deposit in an evening, and a 97% game can lose faster than a 96% one if it is more volatile.
Versions
Why the Same Slot Can Show a Different Number Elsewhere
Iron Bank 2 is a useful example. Relax Gaming ships the game in several RTP versions, and a review written from the studio's default may quote a figure that is not the one on Duel. The badge on Duel's game page is what applies on Duel; that is the number in the table, and it is why each row carries the date it was read.
If a badge you see on the live page differs from a row here, the live page is right and this list is out of date. The same applies the other way: a figure from another casino's version of the game says nothing about Duel's.
Feature buys
Bonus Buys on These Games
Twenty-four of the twenty-five games let you pay a multiple of the stake to enter the bonus directly; Rich Wilde and the Tome of Madness is the exception. The bought feature has its own RTP, listed in the game, and on several titles it is the mode the badge quotes — so a bonus buy can run at the badge RTP while base play runs slightly under it.
The price of that is variance. One purchase carries the swings of dozens of spins, so the same average cost arrives in much larger pieces. A feature buy earns rakeback at the usual rate on the amount paid. The feature-buy page lists the buy cost where the game shows it.

How This List Was Built
We opened each game on Duel, read the badge, the studio and the feature-buy option, and recorded the date. Games with a badge of 3.60% or lower made the list; eight of them were then played with real money to confirm that the rakeback accrual matched the badge, under the rules on the methodology page. Nothing was filled in from review sites, and a game whose page did not show a badge was left out rather than estimated.
